It's been too long...

It really has. Although Chelsey and I would like to think that we're way too busy to blog, the truth is that we're not. We are in fact just lazy... But don't worry we have plenty of pictures to share.

Miraculous Event!!!

Wow... It certainly is a miracle to have blogged twice in a week. Everybody is doing great! We love our little baby girl. She's doing really well and growing up big and strong. In my last blog I mentioned that Chelsey went back to work last week. She's doing awesome!! Understandably, that would take a little getting used to after being at home for so long with our little girl. We are certainly proud of Chelsey!

The masses have spoken, and rebel...

Well, we have received numerous requests and dropped hints demanding that this blog be updated once again. I'm actually flattered to think that so many people want to read and do read this little piece online literature. Then I think that it's not the words that they crave. Though often witty and fun, the words are merely a background to... the pictures. Yes, I know that it is those images of our sweet little baby daughter, Hannah, that have the masses thronging through their Internet connections to this blog. I hope to think that my words are read or at least glanced at in all the commotion to see how big she's gotten or how cute she is.

She does continue you to grow and she is even a little cuter (if it's possible). There isn't a day that passes when Chelsey and I will lean over our little girl and act like complete idiots making obnoxious noises and weird faces trying to draw even the smallest hint of a smile (or what might just be gas) out of our sweet Hannah. All parents know that the smile of a 2 month old is one of the most elusive objects to catch with your camera. We have had our share of attempts and we think that we've come up with some pretty good shots.

I think that you will see a lot more blog updates and pictures in the weeks to come. I will be home more and will be able to sit down for a brief period during the day while I'm tending Hannah. This is all made possible by my wife. Last week, Chelsey went back to work. That day arrived a little earlier than anticipated but then so did Hannah. We are so proud of Chelsey and grateful for all that she continues to do to care for Hannah. We love Chelsey very much. Dad will work nights and be able to be home during the days with his little girl. He's really excited.

2 Weeks...

We've been parents now for 2 weeks... what an adventure it has been! Through late nights, early mornings, and somewhere in between we've been on quite the ride. Our little Hannah has also been through a lot as well. Within the first few days she started to become yellow with Jaundice and lost a little bit of weight. We took our little yellow "Simpson Baby" in for tests and more tests and finally her Billirubin level fell and now she looks somewhat (she still has her dad's nose) normal. We've taken plenty of pictures, too many to even share on this little blog so we've given you a link to direct you to our online family photo albums. (see below)
Chelsey loves being a mother, even with the late nights, the remaining pain from labor, and her stunningly handsome but somewhat annoying husband all working their toll on her psyche she smiles and sings and troops on as all great mother do.
Dave is still alive.

A Big Welcome to Our Little Hannah!!!

She's here! The wait is over! On Sunday the 27th of January, 2008, our little angel Hannah has come to play... We're so glad to finally have her in our arms and out of Chelsey's tummy. Our sweetheart weighed a healthy 6 lbs 12 oz and is 19 in long. She is very cute, very sweet, and probably the best little baby you'll ever meet! We love her and we love and are grateful for all of our family and friends that have been around to help us out these past few days! Thanks!

Nelson Family Baby Shower

What a time it was!!! Much fun was had at Cousin Shannon Swenson's house on Saturday as the Nelson Family Ladies got together for a Baby Shower for Chelsey. Games were played, gifts given, and munchies munched... What a time it was!!!

What a Day...

Today Dave's side of the Family threw a Baby Shower for Chelsey. It was held at his Grandparents house in American Fork. It turned out to be quite an eventful afternoon! Everybody there had a great time snacking, talking, and making little bows and headbands for our sweet little baby girl that's on her way.
